Da mein Papa Schreiner ist und schon immer Strauss getragen hat, war die Marke mit stets ein Begriff. Als ich mir dann das Unternehmen als Arbeitgeber angeschaut habe, war ich direkt begeistert. Die Unternehmenskultur unterscheidet sich stark von anderen, da hier der Fokus auf das Persönliche gelegt wird. Das habe ich auch den ganzen Bewerbungsprozess über so empfunden – und hat für mich direkt gepasst.

Als IT Infrastructure Specialist verwalte ich Gruppenrichtlinien und bin für Sicherheitseinstellungen im Unternehmen zuständig. Mein Team betreut die grundsätzliche technische Infrastruktur. Man kann uns als zentralen Knotenpunkt der Departments beschreiben, da sich alle Anwendungen bei uns authentifizieren und viele Themen darauf aufbauen. Die Einstellung meiner Kollegen ist toll und sehr wertschätzend. Man erlebt überall, wo man in der Firma hingeht, echte Freundlichkeit.

It often involves routine processes with a lot of documentation (reading and writing) but as soon as a “crime case” (i.e. a change in the system, new functionality, etc.) falls into our laps, the “quest for clues” begins. This is where I try to chase down potential “perpetrators” (in other words, errors). In doing so, I also take a creative approach rather than just a systematic one.

What I love most at Strauss alongside the daily business: the people. I interact a lot with colleagues during my investigations. We always come up with solutions together. And I can always rely on my team. We share a lot of laughs together and enjoy our work. That’s really worth a lot, especially when there happens to be a lot of “crime cases” to solve!

In system administration it is especially important to work with focus and concentration – one click can have massive repercussions. We manage all basic systems, servers and storages in the background. When everything goes according to plan, our colleagues don’t even notice the work that we do.

I’m fascinated by the pioneer spirit at Strauss IT. We’re always one step ahead and never miss a trick. IT is highly valued in our company – we feel this appreciation in the team.

Seit 2017 bin ich ein Strauss – und es hat erst bei meiner dritten Bewerbung geklappt. Beim ersten Mal haben die Aufgaben der ausgeschriebenen Stelle nicht zu mir gepasst, beim zweiten Mal habe ich mich initiativ beworben und es gab keine Vakanz in meinem Bereich und beim dritten Mal hat es gepasst, wie die Deckel auf Topf. Nach meinem Probearbeitstag wusste ich: Hier gehöre ich hin.

Strauss ist besonders für mich, weil mich das gesamte Modell Familienunternehmen begeistert. Man bekommt Rückhalt von seinen Kollegen und Vorgesetzten. Es ist die offensichtliche Wertschätzung, die jeder Strauss erfährt.
